Laeka / MedPod

Healing pod. Doctor in command.

A medical and psychological intervention pod that pairs human responsibility, advanced biometrics, and AI guidance. Three escalating levels — stabilization, medico-assisted, supervised autonomy. Built so the technology never owns the decision.

Stabilize, treat, adapt — without ever losing human responsibility.

MedPod is an integrated ecosystem that stabilizes a patient in crisis (trauma, injury, psychological emergency), treats with AI-assisted precision (analgesia, support, robotic care), and adapts in real time to the patient's biometric and psychological state.

It evolves through three intervention levels: VR-immersive stabilization with AI-guided support, medico-assisted intervention where robotic arms execute precise tasks under teleoperation or supervision, then progressive autonomy on well-defined protocols where the AI executes and the doctor supervises. The human reclaims control at any moment, in under two seconds.

"The doctor directs. The technology amplifies. Never inverted."

The pod, the patient, the protocol.

Concept images coming. The hardware spans a VR headset, eight biometric channels, a Jetson Orin processing core, robotic arms with sub-millimeter precision, and a walnut enclosure for the personal Phase 1 unit.

Image 01

The pod — Phase 1.

Walnut enclosure. VR + biometrics + AI guidance. Personal therapeutic use, before any commercial deployment.

Image 02

Patient view — VR immersion.

Spatial audio, biometric-driven scene adaptation, transparent AI narration of every step. Consent renewed if protocol changes.

Image 03

Doctor portal.

Real-time monitoring, override control in under two seconds, full decision audit, alert thresholds tuned by clinician.

Encoded in hardware. Not bypassable.

MedPod refuses autonomy without supervision, treatment without consent, and speed over safety. The pillars are baked into the architecture, not layered on as policy.

01. Medical responsibility

Doctor supervises. AI executes.

Override available in under two seconds. Every AI action logged and explained. Escalation protocols defined when the AI nears its autonomy boundary.

02. Absolute safety

Failsafes coded hard.

Overdose impossible by hardware limits. Respiration never compromised. Robotic arms gravity-drop on power loss. Physical emergency shutdown always reachable.

03. Patient transparency

The patient knows.

VR shows the intervention happening, audio narrates each step, voice input for questions, consent renewed when protocol changes. The patient is never a passive object.

04. Biometric adaptation

Tuned to this patient. Not the average.

Heart rate drives pain management. GSR drives psychological calibration. EEG drives immersion depth. O2 drives respiratory support. Every loop closes every 1-5 seconds.

05. Sovereign data

Encrypted. Local first.

AES-256 at rest, TLS in transit. Local database is primary; cloud only with explicit consent. Patient can delete data at any time. Zero third-party access without explicit authorization.

06. Measurable efficacy

Outcomes documented.

Pain reduction tracked (VAS). Patient satisfaction tracked. AI decision quality audited. Robotic precision logged. Learning loop closes — the next patient benefits from what this one taught us.

Concept stage. Conversations welcome.

MedPod's first unit is a personal therapeutic pod — walnut enclosure, intimate scale, no commercial deployment yet. The architecture and standards are public so others can think with us. If you're a clinician, researcher, or design partner curious about where this goes, reach out.

MedPod is the third stage of a sequence: MindPod (home device, Year 1), CyberShaman (ceremony pod, Year 1-2), MedPod (medical intervention, Year 2-10+). The earlier stages reuse into the later ones.
